Hi Marshdale Families,
I hope you had a nice long weekend. We have a busy week ahead with our RISE Store on Thursday and the Mustang Trot and Field Day on Friday. It looks like the weather will be great on Friday; I hope to see you all there cheering on your Mustangs!
As you may have noticed, our playground is still under construction. We do have to wait a little longer for the Hug and Go lane as well. That being said, our preschoolers will have a new process for arrival and dismissal starting next week. Please avoid parking in the first 8 parking spots in the bus loop so we can determine if the new process will work. There is a map and instructions on our website if you’d like more information. Three times a year, teachers identify their class’s Social Emotional competencies. We use this information to make sure we’re planning lessons that meet our student’s needs. The data is used for internal purposes only and no student information is shared. This is done through observation only; students aren’t questioned or aware of the results. If you’d like to opt out of this process, or have any questions please email [email protected] or [email protected].
Please click Mustang Weekly 9-24-2023.pdf for our Sunday newsletter, so you are up to date on what is happening in the Marshdale community.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and a great start to the new year. We are expecting some tired children this first week back. As we welcome students back, time will be spent going over expectations and routines. Our Student Leadership group worked on creating posters that will be hung in different locations around the building to help set a positive tone for the new year. Students will put their thumb prints on the posters to help create a sense of ownership. Make sure to look for them next time you're in the building. A huge Thank You to the Weeks family for donating their time on printing the posters.
